Sarah Rehmeier is a Los Angeles-based producer and entrepreneur with a career spanning film, television, commercial production, and a few ventures well outside the Hollywood bubble.
With a bachelor's degree in film producing and directing, Sarah began her career in commercial post-production at Los Angeles's Rushes/601, working alongside top-tier directors, cinematographers, and advertising creatives before moving into production. She went on to become a trusted field producer for major studios, including Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures, and Warner Bros., producing electronic press kits (EPKs), behind-the-scenes content, and press junket coverage for major motion pictures. From film sets to studio publicity campaigns, she developed a firsthand understanding of the entertainment business—and the considerable amount of work that happens before anyone gets to take a bow.
During the HD DVD–Blu-ray format war, Sarah was among the producers who pioneered the use of behind-the-scenes material as a selling point for physical media. Working with Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures, and Warner Bros., she helped develop, shoot, and repurpose footage originally produced for electronic press kits and studio publicity. Those disc extras gave fans a look at how the films were made and a reason to buy a copy of their own.
Never one to limit herself to a single industry, Sarah also founded and operated businesses outside entertainment, further developing the entrepreneurial instincts, resourcefulness, and occasional talent for controlled chaos that producing demands.
Today, as a producing partner at Black Sheep Films, Sarah focuses on developing original material, identifying compelling intellectual property, and packaging film and television projects with distinctive voices and commercial potential.
She gravitates toward unconventional stories, complicated characters, and people who aren't particularly interested in playing by the rules.

Adam Rehmeier is a filmmaker from Nebraska City, Nebraska, with a soft spot for outsiders, an ear for dialogue, and a healthy disregard for respectable behavior—at least on screen.
A jack of all trades by experience and necessity, Adam came up working as a camera operator while writing at night. Working across camera, editing, and production gave him a practical understanding of filmmaking from the ground up—and plenty of reasons to keep writing.
He wrote, directed, and edited Dinner in America, the punk-rock love story starring Kyle Gallner and Emily Skeggs that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2020. The film built a devoted cult following, with an audience-driven resurgence bringing it back to theaters and introducing its unapologetic misfits to an entirely new generation of fans.
His follow-up, Snack Shack, drew from his own teenage years in Nebraska City. Written and directed by Rehmeier and produced by T-Street and MRC, the coming-of-age comedy pairs adolescent ambition and questionable decision-making with an unexpectedly tender heart.
He also directed Carolina Caroline, the romantic crime thriller starring Samara Weaving, Kyle Gallner, and Kyra Sedgwick, which premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. The film will be available to stream on Netflix in the United States beginning November 6, 2026.
Adam is also attached to direct Seeker, a darkly comedic thriller written by Michael Learner, with producers including Hammerstone Studios’ Alex Lebovici and Learner, HyperObject Industries’ Adam McKay and Todd Schulman, and Arkhum Productions’ Noah Centineo and Enzo Marc.
At Black Sheep Films, Adam brings a filmmaker’s perspective to developing distinctive, character-driven projects. His work finds humor, humanity, and unlikely romance in people who rarely get invited to the right parties—and generally make better stories.
